Anti Ragging Cell
Ragging is a criminal offence and hence the students indulging in ragging activities undergo severe punishment. However, owing to the forceful Anti-Ragging Cell, a culture of ragging free environment is maintained in the college campus and no case of ragging has been found in the campus. The cell adopts various means to educate the students about the menace of ragging, anti-social activities, drugs and intoxicants, eve-teasing and physical violence. Further, all the circulars and orders regarding anti-ragging issued by MHRD, UGC and Punjabi University, Patiala are implemented in the college. Posters and banners sent by UGC, highlighting the menace of ragging and its serious consequences have been pasted at conspicuous places in the campus. For orienting students and molding their personality for a better cause, an effective proctor chart is prepared before the commencement of every session. In this context, the faculty members maintain vigil in the common areas of the campus at all times on all days by rotation and counsel the students regarding the rules and regulations of the college. Besides this, each and every corner of the campus is under the surveillance of CCTV and security guards.
